The **Financial Analysis, Advisor** in this role will be a driver of economic, financial, and statistical analyses related to regulatory policy issues and for internal corporate decision-making. This will include developing strategies and analysis in key regulatory filings, such as SCE's cost of capital application, General Rate Case, SONGS Decommissioning Trust Proceeding, and other cost recovery applications.



In this role, the Advisor will interact independently with leaders across Finance and Regulatory Affairs to drive decisions and analyses to support the Budget, Outlook and Long Term Planning activities. The Advisor is encouraged to apply strong technical knowledge and leadership to analyze financial results, challenge business assumptions and to drive to the best outcome. This position reports to the Principal Manager of Regulatory Economics.

+ Direct financial and economic analyses for regulatory applications and proceedings as necessary



+ Provide analysis and modeling in support of various strategic and financial planning initiatives



+ Interact with Vice President & Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and other SCE and EIX Officers



+ Collaborate with outside consultants or financial analysts and project managers in other SCE departments and Treasurers departments



+ Interact with regulators and regulatory staff, and with counterparts at other utilities



+ Perform special economic and financial analyses as the need arises for internal corporate purposes



+ Demonstrate company values through decisions and actions



**Qualifications**



**The Essentials**



+ Seven or more years of proven experience in the field of financial or strategic planning and analysis



+ Able to present complex issues in a simple, logical, and succinct manner



+ Strong grasp of corporate finance concepts



+ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills



+ Proven ability to work well under pressure, adjust to changing priorities, organize a heavy workload, work well in a team environment, and perform with minimal direct supervision



**The Preferred**



+ BA Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Tax, or similar field



+ CFA or CPA or Project Management Certificate



+ Knowledgeable of the utility industry



+ Expertise in corporate finance, financial analysis, and critical thinking to identify and clearly communicate the resolution of unusually complex issues with innovative solutions



**You should know...**



**Work Mode** : When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position's work mode is **hybrid** . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
