better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be in the Engineering Review &
Analysis (ERA) team of SCE's Engineering Services (ES)
organization, under Customer Programs & Services (CP&S)
division. The ERA team is responsible for the development,
quantification, maintenance, and quality assurance of EE
engineering data that are used to support activities and measure
achievements for SCE customer facing EE and Third Party programs.
EE programs are a primary tool addressing California's GHG
mitigation policies. The ERA team also supports multiple work
areas, including energy engineering, management of projects in
support of the customized EE programs, support of CP&S
departmental goals, management of assigned vendors and tracking
their expenses, and project tracking activities. The successful
candidate will focus on providing oversight and support to the Ex
Ante review (CPUC mandated process) and QA/QC process primarily for
Deemed measure packages and Custom projects. The responsibilities
for this position will include technical review and communication
of status to key partners and supporting ERA's senior engineers in
other technical efforts; many in collaboration with CPUC staff and

- Represent ERA team as the deemed measure package lead in the
Technical Policy Oversight Team (TPOT) to address technical policy
and guidance from CPUC Decisions, Resolutions, Staff Dispositions
and staff memos.
- Responsible for vendor management, and training for Third Party
review firms involved in measure packages (deemed measures)
development and maintenance in accordance with the Annual Database
of Energy Efficient Resources (DEER) Resolution and other CPUC
- Support the Statewide Electric Emerging Technologies Program
- Lead Cost Effectiveness Tool (CET) evaluation process, review,
and analysis for Third Party Solicitation.
- Support Potential and Goals Study calls and Annual Budget
Advice Letter (ABAL) data modeling and filing as the technical lead
from ERA team.
- Support key internal and external partners (SCE EE Programs,
CPUC, Reporting, Compliance, and Evaluation & Measurement) to
create and provide ongoing updates to SCE measure packages in order
to describe the engineering algorithms, methods, and assumptions
used to estimate the energy and demand savings that results from
the customer's installation of a technology measure or group of
measures (referred to as "Deemed ex ante measure savings").
- Support the team's efforts in working with CPUC and internal
collaborators to manage measure package policies, improve measure
package quality, and streamline processes to support SCE's
- Support senior engineers in assessing, coordinating, and
responding to more complex assignments including regular CPUC
dispositions requiring measure package updates.
- Support data compliance reporting needs based upon direction
from the CPUC as well as other partners (CALTF, statewide reporting
group, systems group, program staff, reporting staff)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical) or
related technical field.
- Five or more years of engineering experience. The preferred
- Eight or more years of experience in leading engineering or
- Two or more years of experience in managing vendors,
coordinating with technical staff and consultants involved in the
development and review of Custom projects and/or measure
- EE program experience.
- Experience in working with CPUC staff and its consultants.
- Experience with program support functions with the ability to
analyze information and make technically sound decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative problem-solving
ability. You should know ---
- Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined,
this position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an
SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work
remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees
are required to reside in the state of California. Further details
