Summary of Job Descriptions:
The Executive Director, Supply Management is responsible for
working with the Senior Vice President, SCM on the design and
execution of the five-year supply management strategic plan,
anticipating business requirements. This position serves as the
company's expert on industry trends and changes in federal and
state laws and regulations affecting logistics and distribution
services. The Executive Director leads a SCM team of managers and
professionals in logistics, distribution, and SCM systems. The
Executive Director, with the support of the team, designs and
implements the most cost-effective inbound freight saving programs
to lower landed costs of the products carried by PRG Distribution
Partners as well as the optimal distributor partner program,
delivering the highest level of service in the most competitive
cost to stores.
You'll get a chance to:
- Assists the Senior Vice President, SCM in the design and
execution of the five-year supply management strategic plan,
anticipating business requirements. Informs the SVP on industry
trends, labor disputes, fuel commodity pricing, and changes in
federal and state laws and regulations.
- Executes the company's distribution services arrangements in
support of its business strategy and plan. Identifies third-party
distributors and supports the implementation of optimal contracts
in terms of safety, service, cost, and quality. Oversee and manage
distributor KPIs and KPI dashboard as indicators of distribution
performance for the entire distribution program. Monitors and
reports performance of third-party distributors and makes necessary
improvements aligned with the strategic plan.
- Executes the company's inbound freight program. Identifies,
selects and contracts third party logistics providers through an
RFP process and thorough cost analysis. Implements in-bound freight
saving programs to lower landed cost of products carried in the
distribution centers.
- Identifies third party logistics and distributors, as well as
SCM providers, through a multi-candidate RFP process and thorough
cost analysis to support future growth. Attends industry
conferences to identify potential partners and gain industry
insights. Evaluates potential third-party providers with
cross-functional team to determine functionality, financial
viability, capability, and capacity to perform.
- Responsible for inventory planning, deployment, and management
of all products at Distribution and Supplier partners. Develops and
implements inventory procedures to ensure continuous supply and
minimize inventory obsolescence.
- Manages new product introduction and LTO roll outs in support
of PRG Marketing programs. Collaborates with supplier and
distribution partners in planning, production, deployment and
depletion of LTOs in distribution centers.
Maintains a strong relationship with third party logistics and
distribution providers. Acts as a liaison between third party
providers, PRG suppliers, and Operations. Communicates with third
party logistics and distribution providers concerning PRG
philosophy, performance, and growth plans.
- Responsible for SCM systems identification, implementation, and
management to achieve greater efficiency. Develops applications
with third-party providers to improve data and information
visibility for successful execution of the supply management
function, including inventory, pricing compliance, procurement and
communications. Utilizes the applications for supply management
analysis, execution and contract negotiation.
- Manages cross-functional projects with departments such as
Systems, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Product Development, FSQA,
International, and Operations to support company growth. Stays
current on all issues related to Supply Management, domestic and
international.
- Supports the PRG international expansion program in relation to
inventory requirements. Develops and implements inventory planning,
forecasting, and deployment policies ensuring continuous supply to
international stores.
- Provides global and strategic solutions to international stores
with support from FSQA, International, Legal, and Distribution
Partners. Supports logistics operations for international
expansion, covering company-owned, franchise, and licensed
stores.
- Conducts annual surveys with Operations regarding the
performance of the third party distributors. Communicates survey
results to Operations. Meets with third party distributors
quarterly to communicate performance results and develop action
plans to address identified issues.
- Recruits, selects, and develops an effective Supply Management
team comprised of managers and professionals in logistics,
distribution, and SCM systems. Provides leadership, coaching and
development to the team to meet the department's people planning
and development goals.

Your background & experience:
If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on your start
date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full
vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the
second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after
receiving a single-dose vaccine. Examples of proof of full
vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed
vaccination card which includes your name, type of vaccine
provided, and date last dose administered.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA degree preferred
- Minimum twelve to fifteen years of experience in Supply Chain
Management with focus on Supply Management and supply chain
systems, preferably in a multi-unit food service distribution
organization.
