In this job, you'll play a key role in supply chain focused risk identification and evaluation processes across the company, as well as in the evaluation of mitigation options. You will work as an internal consultant and risk expert to business units and their leaders to risk assess their initiatives, projects and recommendations to enable consistent risk informed decision making across the company. In addition, you will support the evaluation and standardization of risk management tools and processes used across the company.

    • Assess / Evaluate, and identify risk exposure in supply management contracts, vendors, supply chains, and other risk areas monitored by ERM. This will include working as a partner and key consultant with executives and senior managers across the company to assess supply management risks. This role will function as a Risk Management subject matter expert for supply management-focused engagements across OUs, applying company-wide risk management frameworks and tools to supply management risks. This role may advise other risk managers on supply management risks including drivers, consequences, mitigations, etc.
    • Maintain expert-level awareness of supplier, industry, regulatory, and macro risk events to actively address emerging cross-functional supplier risk management issues and other risk management topics.
    • In collaboration with key partners, develop/design new tools, reports, and metrics to help inform management and colleagues of risks across the company, including supply management risks.
    • Leads efforts of the risk management organization relating to supply chain risk and other areas through overseeing and supporting various risk management continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Identify trends and risk indicators across Edison's supply chain to identify vulnerabilities, critical paths/components, and dependencies, and assess potential impacts to Edison's core business, and leads development of dashboards, trackers, and risk platforms to support the reporting of trends and risk reporting.
    • Facilitates and leads the evaluations of vendor or other counterparty risk exposure across multiple risk dimensions including but not limited to cybersecurity, safety, operations, and insurance. Provides expert input and coordination of supplier resilience studies with other partners such as Business Resiliency.
    • Leads workstreams supporting ongoing Enterprise Risk Management activities in supply chain risk and other areas, including annual risk assessment and reporting, risk register development, management surveys, workshop planning, and risk program development. Qualifications
      The essentials
      • 10 years' experience in quantitative analysis, cross-functional project management for major initiatives, risk management, loss prevention, business planning or strategic planning.
      • Strong analytical skills, especially in risk assessment of supply chain risk The preferred
        • Bachelor's degree or higher, in mathematics, engineering, quantitative analysis or related field of study. Other fields may be acceptable when combined with preferred experience, knowledge, and skills
        • Seven or more years of experience with the development and leading complex projects or programs related to Supply Chain risk
        • ERM experience, risk-based financial planning, asset management, supply management, energy, risk assessment and/or supplier Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery experience that includes analytical tools and processes
        • Experience in utility or related industry supplier risk assessment and mitigation/control development and implementation You should know
          • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
