and their efforts to mature our processes and practices system
wide, including strategy, process, continuous improvement and
sustainability in the new future state of the Procurement
organization. As our Principal Manager, Procurement Transformation,
your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and

challenge to help us build the future? Critical to this role will
be the expertise and support provided for all of the key partners
impacted by the transformation effort which includes Procurement,
Operational Finance, Center of Excellence, Supplier Diversity &
Development, and Operating Unit (OU) partners. The Principal
Manager will set the course for the organization and support OU's
based on industry trends, changes in organizational direction,
changes in policies/procedures, a more inclusive sourcing and cost
savings methodology, as well as leading the development of the
ongoing procurement strategy. This position will oversee and
actively manage the 3rd party spend cube, forecasted cost savings
analysis, tracking of realized savings, important metric
development and management going forward, as well as development of
the Supplier Relationship Management program. This position will
also be responsible for the implementation of continuous
improvement projects and root cause analysis of procurement
concerns identified. This position is critical for synthesizing and
consolidating inputs to effectively and efficiently serve multiple
clients within SCE, as well as external vendors, and will ensure
that a continuous improvement model can be pursued and brought to
bear for all future efficiency activities, while managing to
inspire, guide, excite, encourage, and shape breakthrough
innovation from inspired leadership A day in the life - Get ready
to think big, work smart and shine bright! The Principal Manager
will be responsible for managing and overseeing the category
roadmap for the entire procurement portfolio. You will refine,
build and deliver a framework to create, manage, and deliver on
long-term strategies and projects to meet OU business partner and
operational needs. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Actively oversee performance of end-to-end procurement
process
- Plans, develops, recommends and implements enterprise-wide
procurement policy and procedures ensuring Company-wide
adherence.
- Identify new strategic opportunities to improve ability to
serve all client needs with increased operational efficiency in the
Procurement AOR
- Leads a team of procurement professionals that manages supplier
relationship and portfolio management, including defining
performance metrics and assessment, contract and risk management,
contract execution and dispute resolution.
- Manages resources and budget levels to meet strategic
objectives and operational needs. .
- Develops quarterly, annual and multi-year strategy
roadmaps
- Accountable for setting and delivering overall category savings
and vendor management targets
- Communicates and aligns on strategy and targets with Director
Procurement and VP, Ops services
- Proactively engages OU leadership as a strategic partner
- Develops framework for Supplier Relationship Management
portfolio
- Participates in (and leads at times) procurement related
decision-making meetings Qualifications
The essentials
- Seven (7) or more years of experience managing or supervising
an organization or unit
- Five (5) years of sourcing and negotiating experience [LC1] in
a large corporate setting.
- Two (2) years of experience in Program Management The preferred
- MA, MS, or MBA
- CPM, CPSM, CPCM, PMP
- Ten (10) or more years of procurement-related experience
including strategic sourcing, contract development, contract
management, and contract administration.
- Experience leading procurement transformation efforts in a
large company setting
- Knowledge of and experience with financial principles.
- Excellent understanding and in depth knowledge of the entire
supply chain management process including purchasing, logistics,
inventory management, ERP, etc.
- Two (2) years' experience working in a utility
- Demonstrated experience with SAP.
- Demonstrated experience with Ariba.
- Demonstrated experience applying best-practice processes,
tools, and techniques, in accordance with governance, processes,
standards, and procedures to ensure problems are solved with a
strategic focus.
- Experience leading teams responsible for managing and
implementing large multidisciplinary projects, including
identifying, maintaining and/or adjusting cost, scope and
resources, managing suppliers, and leading all aspects of the
formal planning, tracking and reporting of project performance
- Knowledgeable in, and ability to effectively use, PC software
applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate work across relevant areas,
manage risks, and assess safety implications appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction and make strategic
decisions regarding project or program scope, policy, development,
and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to present recommendations and other
communications regularly to all levels of the organization. You

- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report
to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work
remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees
are required to reside in the state of California. Further details
