In this job you will be part of Regulatory Affairs' Procurement Policy team that manages SCE's participation in various regulatory proceedings at the California Public Utilities Commission and other state agencies related to SCE's energy procurement and management functions. You will case-manage regulatory proceedings, including coordinating internal cross-functional teams comprised of representatives from Energy Procurement & Management, Legal, Customer Service, etc., and develop and champion SCE's policy positions. You will be responsible for drafting testimony, responding to data requests, reviewing, and summarizing regulatory documents, and developing SCE's comments on regulatory documents such as scoping memos, staff proposals and proposed decisions. You will participate in regulatory forums and stakeholder meetings and represent SCE's interests and long-term strategy in those venues. Topics assigned to this case manager may include regulatory activities related to renewable and clean energy procurement, regulatory activities related to California's transition away from fossil fuels including natural gas, facilitation of external stakeholder forums focused on procurement activities, and policy development and participation in rulemakings at the CPUC focused on integrating zero-carbon resources such as wind, solar, energy storage, and other distributed energy resources. This position is a key opportunity to help achieve the company's long-term vision towards a sustainable and zero-carbon electricity system aligned with customer affordability.     • Reviews a variety of regulatory proceedings and stakeholder processes to evaluate their impact on SCE and energy procurement
    • Project manages diverse internal, and at times external, stakeholders to develop policy positions, rules, and regulatory filings
    • Works with internal stakeholders to develop a position for SCE and works with external stakeholders to develop alliances, make presentations, advocate for the adoption with agencies and regulators as necessary
    • Represents SCE's positions in various internal and external forums, via both written and oral presentations
    • Works with the SCE legal department as necessary to file pleadings with the applicable regulatory authority to represent SCE's positions Qualifications
      The essentials
      • Ten or more years of combined experience in cross-functional coordination, energy markets, environmental sustainability, and/or energy-related regulatory policy.
      • Five or more years of experience with Project or Program Management. The preferred
        • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy or other related discipline
        • Experience analyzing and interpreting regulations, legislation or policies in a public utility or other regulated environment
        • Experience developing testimony, legal filings, or other regulatory reports
        • Experience in regulatory and/or legislative processes, including regulated utilities
        • Proven experience working with internal and external clients to reach consensus on issues
        • Demonstrated business writing ability including making persuasive arguments
        • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing You should know
          • Work Mode: Effective January 2022, this position's work mode ishybrid. The employee willreport to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on theremaining days.
