The **Advisor, Regulatory and Compliance** will be part of Ethics and Compliance's Energy Regulations Compliance Program (ERCP) Investigations team responsible for leading internal compliance investigations of potential noncompliance events related to CPUC, FERC and NERC requirements. You will lead and complete compliance investigations working with cross-functional teams throughout the enterprise. This position works closely with compliance leads, compliance control owners, and managers across the company.

**A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!**

+ Lead multiple compliance investigations simultaneously to meet regulator reporting due dates. Conduct investigations as assigned including cause evaluations, and recommending remedial and mitigating actions to investigations team

+ Work with Operational Compliance team members to operate and continuously improve our internal processes

+ Provide ongoing leadership to compliance investigation collaborators, and partners including E&C management

+ Work with the Process, Technology, and Integration team on investigations tracking data improvements and reporting

+ Provide data and perform research for ad-hoc requests that may come up


**The essentials**

+ Seven (7) or more years of experience with utility operations, compliance andor regulatory affairs

+ Two (2) more years of experience leading projects or programs

+ Two (2) or more years of experience leading audits, investigations and/or regulatory compliance matters

**The preferred**

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

+ Project Management Certification

+ Experience managing projects impacting Transmission & Distribution, IT, Customer and Operational Services, Generation, HR, Ethics & Compliance, and Law.

+ Experience with local/state/federal regulatory agencies including policy, advocacy and/or compliance activities

+ Experience working in complex and technical information in unfamiliar situations and be able to communicate it in a non-technical manner.

**You should know**

+ When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position's work mode is **hybrid.** The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
