Plan, organize, and implement small to moderate scope projects or act as a subject matter expert for larger enterprise project. Revise existing policies and procedures that are focused on creating operational efficiencies and minimizing operational and compliance risk. Development of operational alerts and Job Aids to support regulatory changes, new product offerings and enhancements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssists the branch network with operational issues, questions, troubleshooting, and/or other related matters. Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems or inquiries. Ability to effectively work with colleagues at all levels; may also interact with vendors or with customers. In depth understanding of the various systems used by the branch network.Ability to analyze and revise existing policies and procedures and assist in the development of new and more effective policies and procedures when applicable. Review of branch audit reports and call logs to identify trends and develop solutions and training to address identified issues and/or gaps.Must have a good understanding of deposit products including retirement processing, ACH and ATM processing and related policies and procedures and regulatory compliance. Plan and coordinate branch quality control reviews- ability to assess and document identified operational and compliance risks, identify operational deficiencies/ weaknesses, reinforce established policies and procedures, and provide the necessary training. Plans, conducts, and implements projects of small to moderate scope. Including the ability to manages multiple projects simultaneously.Manages and/or participates in Customer Services and Sales Manager (CSSM) meetings.Manages and participates in conversion activities during mergers/acquisitions by providing operational support as applicable. Ability to travel, including occasional overnight domestic assignments for branch quality control review and training.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: College degree with business classes preferred or equivalent experience required.Experience: 5 to 10 years deposit operations experience preferably in a back-office environment required. Strong understanding of banking regulations and operational controls.Skills/Ability: Effectively lead and motivate a team to meet department objectives.Ability to read and interpret complex regulations and reduce them to procedures that are easily understandable.Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate clearly with customers and employees at all levels. Must be detailed oriented with excellent follow through skills and the ability to function in a team environment. Exercises good judgment when making decisions that impact both internal and external customers. Great quality of work, quantity of work, job knowledge, customer service skills, problem solving, ability to work independently and initiative to take on new assignments. Must be committed to seeking opportunities for improvement and increasing efficiency. Must have the capacity to work independently; demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and adapt well to a changing environment.
