Data Governance Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE)
and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll lead and grow the
Information and Data Governance capabilities within SCE. You will
be a part of SCE's Enterprise Information Governance (IG) program
and lead development of Enterprise standards and tools to advance
Data Governance objectives, partner with key stakeholders across
the Company to seek feedback and implement enterprise standards,
help customize standards to address unique business unit needs. You
will manage/lead enterprise initiatives to implement
state-of-the-art technical solutions, to improve data governance
related processes, and mitigate risks associated with data quality
and data protection. You will closely partner with IT to understand
emerging technologies and its impact on the data landscape at SCE,
develop actionable plans to implement controls that reflect these
technological changes. In performing these functions, you will:
support and strengthen Enterprise IG by leading formal education
efforts, as necessary, and providing informal education on data
governance/requirements; drive program/project plans and schedules
to ensure key enforcement dates are met; promptly manage missed
milestones and escalate as required; and contribute to the
development of strategic and business plans for the organization.

- Lead development of Enterprise Data Governance plans to drive
Company-wide strategy to improve data quality and standards
- Develop plans to drive adoption and consistency of data
management processes, roles and responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of strategic data governance
plans for Enterprise Information Governance organization
- Develop innovative approaches to drive adoption of Enterprise
IG practices
- Assess, monitor, and provide analytical reports on compliance
with Corporate IG requirements
- Keep up with emerging industry trends in technology and its
impact on data and associated governance to enhance /refine data
governance standards.
- Develop strong partnership with all data governance
stakeholders including OU and IT Qualifications
The essentials
- 10+ years of experience in leading and implementing standards
and solutions to support data, records, document management and or
information governance.
- Prior experience of implementing technical solutions.
- Knowledge of change management The preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration,
Information Management, Information Technology, or related
field.
- 5+ years project management experience.
- Proficient business process analysis methods.
- Certificate and/or Licenses: Certification from DAMA, AIIM,
ARMA, ICRM or equivalent professional association (Certified
Information Professional from AIIM; Certification in Project
Management (PMP). You should know
- This position's work mode is hybrid.The employee will report to
an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work
remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees
are required to reside in the state of California.Further details
