You will process, document, research data and information related to distribution and generation of workers' compensation benefits and payments/reversal; in addition, processing payments, credits, journal entries, and all other financial transactions, purchase order requests, change order requests, and other material procurements.   • Communication with appropriate parties in connection with the distribution of employees' industrial benefits.
  • Prepare analysis and reports based on information from internal and external sources.
  • Maintain databases for monitoring and tracking and preparation of status reports to management.
  • Respond to internal/external inquires on payment statuses, as well as analyze routine accounting discrepancies.
  • Process data using personal computer software programs, including spreadsheets, Access, and Word processing.
  • Exercise independent judgment in addressing payment, credits, journal entries and all other financial transactions. Qualifications
    The essentials
    • Three (3) or more years' experience in general accounting experience, specifically in payment processing such as financial transactions, credits, journal entries, and/or adjustments.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize a heavy workload, adjust changing priorities, assertive, creative, and self-sufficient, work well under pressure, and perform with minimal supervision.
    • You have the ability to assume accountability for accuracy, with attention to detail and integrity of work product and good judgment in handling confidential information.
    • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interface with others with diplomacy, tact and professionalism.
    • Ability to prioritize, maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meet assigned deadlines. The preferred
      • Familiarity with Claims Enterprise Workers' Compensation System or similar system
      • Familiarity with SAP or similar system
      • Basic knowledge of Workers' Compensation benefits, rules and regulations.
      • Familiarity with MS Access, and MS Excel.

        • This position's work mode is[HYBRID].The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
